Taken just after midnight, this is a view over Sheffield, and shows the traces of several sky lanterns floating over the city. I had never even heard of these, let alone seen them, but they must be this year's new novelty in the firework shops. There must have been getting on for a hundred of these floating over the city in the first few minutes of the new decade.
